Starting With Hugo
I’ve been meaning to start up a blog. I know, so 2010s, and yet blogging isn’t completely dead yet. Since I’m a fan of self-hosting and controlling one’s own data as much as possible, it made sense to me to host my blog on my own hardware. Over the years, I had played around with static site generators. I’ve liked them over something like WordPress for smaller-scope blogging. For now, I’m using Hugo for several reasons, among them are: it’s fast, easy to configure, supports markdown.
I intend to focus the blogging portion on my homelab, what I’ve built out so far, my experiences, and use it a journal and log for what I’m doing.
